Workshops

Workshops for Incoming Students: 2026

We're hosting virtual* workshops over Zoom for incoming students throughout the spring and summer. All times listed are in Eastern Time (ET). Please join us! 

Registration is required to receive the event link and join the session. Students can register at any time, even just before the session, and will get the link immediately.


Workshop 1: Study Permit Application
Thursday, May 7: 9:00 am - 10:00 am

This session, hosted by an International Student Immigration Advisor, outlines important information regarding immigration and how it connects to being a student at the University of Toronto.

Workshop 2: Transitioning into U of T
Thursday, May 21: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

This session introduces key campus supports, including Arrive Ready, the Woodsworth College Academic Writing Centre, and Accessibility Services. The session explains what to expect when you reach out.

This interactive workshop helps new and incoming students understand the unwritten expectations and skills required for university, and how to navigate these with confidence.

Review the important financial deadlines and the different ways students can fund their degree.

Workshop 7: Wellness in University + Preparing for your First Term
Thursday, August 6: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Explore ways to prepare for your first term while balancing academics, wellness, and self-care. You’ll also hear from a learning strategist on how to use generative AI effectively as a learning tool while continuing to build your own skills and maintain academic integrity.
