Access Programs at Woodsworth College

Access programs have been an integral part of Woodsworth College since its inception in 1974. Upholding our commitment to accessibility, inclusion and equity, these programs offer alternative and progressive pathways to post-secondary education for all students.

At Woodsworth, our access programs are tailored to support non-traditional students and those from historically underrepresented groups. Through structured programs, pathways and opportunities, we ensure that every learner has the chance to continue their educational journey at the post-secondary level. We strive to foster a diverse and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

The Millie Rotman Shime Academic Bridging Program offers students who do not meet the academic requirements for admission to the University of Toronto to qualify for degree programs in the Faculty of Arts & Science. Learn more about the Academic Bridging Program.

Our Diploma to Degree Program is a college-to-university transfer program that offers students enrolled in our partner institutions admission to the Faculty of Arts & Science with enhanced transfer credits. Learn more about the Diploma to Degree Program.

SEE U of T is an outreach program offered in collaboration with the Toronto District School Board. The aim of the program is to encourage students who come from communities historically underrepresented at U of T and post-secondary institutions to view post-secondary education as a viable destination. Our 65+ Program provides access to degree studies at the Faculty of Arts & Science for students who are 65 years of age or older and do not meet standard admission requirements. Learn more about the 65+ program.

Partnership and Collaboration

Collaboration with campus, institutional and community partners if fundamental to the success of our access programs. We recognize the importance of aligning with colleagues and organizations who share our values. Together, we seek innovative ways to broaden access to the University and drive meaningful social change.
