Event Spaces

We have a number of event spaces available to be booked for events and functions. These spaces can be booked by Woodsworth College and Rotman Commerce staff, as well as student groups recognized by Woodsworth College.

Bookable Spaces

Waters Lounge

The William Waters Lounge is a flexible, accessible event space with a full kitchen, built-in audio-visual (AV) equipment and a fireplace. The capacity of this room is 60 seated or 80 standing.

Meeting Room

The meeting room is a boardroom-style event space suitable for meetings of up to 10 people. This space does not have AV equipment.

Courtyard

The Alex R. Waugh Courtyard is an outdoor public space with patio seating and a BBQ. This space must be booked in conjunction with the Waters Lounge.

Check the availability of your space.

After you have selected an event space, view the bookings calendar to determine if it is available during the time of your event. Please be sure to include 30 minutes before and after your event for setup and cleanup.

Choose the setup for your event.

Please select one of the five setup options shown above. Advanced setup can only be arranged for the Waters Lounge for events that begin during the following times: Monday, 8:30 am to 4 pm, and Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 6:30 pm. Setup is unavailable on Sundays and holidays.

Complete the booking form.

Once you have completed the prior steps, you are now prepared to complete our space booking form

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I cancel my space booking?

To cancel a booking, you will need to complete the initial page of the booking form and select "cancellation" when asked for the booking purpose. You will then need to enter the booking reference number listed on your booking confirmation email.

Who can book these spaces?

These spaces can be booked by Woodsworth College and Rotman Commerce staff, as well as student groups recognized by Woodsworth College.

External Groups

Between May and August, the Waters Lounge may be booked by external groups for a fee. Unfortunately, we are unable to approve bookings from external groups between September and April.

If you represent an external group wishing to book the Waters Lounge between May and August, please contact residence@wdw.utoronto.ca.

What AV equipment is available in the Waters Lounge?

The Waters Lounge has a built-in screen, projector and speaker system. There are two ways to connect your personal laptop to the projector: (1) via wireless USB adaptor available at the front desk or (2) via your own HDMI cord (recommended for media-intensive content).
