FAQ

Can I bring my own furniture? Appliances?

All the furniture that you need is provided by the residence. You may want to bring small kitchen appliances, including a toaster and kettle for the kitchen – but these are items that you will likely only need one of – so it’s better to work that out with your suitemates before arriving. You are permitted to bring an energy efficient mini-fridge (maximum 2-3 years old) for your bedroom if you wish – but it is not necessary as each 4 and 5 person suite has one full sized refrigerator, and 6 person suites have 2 full sized refrigerators.

Can I bring a TV for my room? Common room?

You can bring a TV for your bedroom if you wish. You will likely only want one TV for the common room of your suite – so this is something you may want to work out with your suitemates.

Please note that there are common areas with televisions within the residence that all residents may use.

Can I bring my pet?

There are no pets allowed in the residence.

Can I request to move in prior to the official move-in date?

Unfortunately, we will NOT be able to accommodate any early move-ins prior to the May early arrival extension date. Early arrival which may be scheduled and arranged for an additional charge. Please see our fees chart for additional information.

Can I choose to live with friends?

Please remember that if you are requesting to live with friends – the 4 person south view suites are typically given to set groups of 4 mutually requested suitemates that are staying for the same dates. Be sure to book early with your group!

For those who are curious about how room assignments work, here is the criteria we look at in order:

1. Matching arrival & departure dates
2. Date of application
3. Suitemate requests and preferences (same gender, etc.)
4. Other factors

While we do our best to satisfy room requests regarding size, placement, and pairing with suitemates, all room assignments are subject to change until you officially check-in at the residence.

How do I know if I'm eligible to live here?

We are open to reservations from all students, young professionals and visitors to Toronto with valid credit card for confirmation. Additional information on our current eligibility is found on the first page of our residence application.
