Sexual violence/ sexual assault

The University of Toronto’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Support Centre provides support to members of the University community who have been affected by sexual violence or sexual harassment. 

There are several ways to request support from the Centre:


Women’s College Hospital has a Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre where you can get help with next steps, medical treatment, support, and a sexual assault evidence collection kit exam.

Location: 76 Grenville St., ground floor (in the Acute Ambulatory Care Unit), Room 1305.

Call 416-978-SAFE (7233) anytime to arrange for patrollers to come to your location. For prompt service, calling in advance is recommended.

For non-emergency situations, call Campus Police at 416-978-2323. 

 

Student crisis response

Calling Student Crisis Response is an option if you observe a student in a crisis situation, such as:

  • overwhelmed or in crisis

  • disturbing behaviour

  • references to suicide or violence

Mental health phone support

Good 2Talk is a free, confidential helpline that provides professional counselling, information and referrals for mental health, addictions and well-being.The phone line is open 24/7, 365 days a year.

Community Safety Office

Contact the Community Safety Office about personal safety issues including stalking and harassment, bullying, domestic and family violence, workplace conflict and volatile behaviour.

Health & Wellness

The Health & Wellness Centre provides a variety of services similar to what a typical family doctor offers. Students registered with fees paid at the University of Toronto are eligible for services.
