50th Anniversary Memory of the Week: Aaron Raths (HBA 2006)
Entering U of T as an academic bridging student, Woodsworth provided an incredibly supportive environment that allowed me to grow and thrive. The staff and faculty were unfailingly encouraging and generous from my first days as a bridging student to the moment I received my degree. I felt seen and valued, and I was confident that everyone at Woodsworth was genuinely committed to my success. I will never forget a pre-exam phone call of encouragement I received. Those words still give me confidence after all these years. I will never forget the quiet chat in the hall when I thought I would be unable to attend an academic trip abroad. That unexpected intervention changed the arc of my academic career. There are so many memories, so many moments when the amazing people at Woodsworth made such a difference in my journey.
After Graduation
Following graduation from U of T, I earned a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. I have gone on to work as a lawyer in private practice, as a policy advisor with the provincial government, and as a conduct investigator in professional regulation.
