50th Anniversary Memory: Roslyn Khan Cummings (BA 1984)

Attending Woodsworth College changed the trajectory of my career.
I had many wonderful experiences with both faculty and staff at the college.
Two of my favorite professors were professors Kontos and Nun, whose classes I took towards a degree in political science. Very knowledgeable and great communicators.
Also did a minor in Spanish.
After Graduation
I joined the Diplomatic Service in Trinidad and Tobago during which I received an OAS scholarship to the Escuela Diplomática in Spain. I served as a delegate to the United Nations at headquarters in New York for 9 years and worked in 5 of the 6 Standing Committees.
On returning to Trinidad I moved to the executive level as CEO in several ministries (Trade and Industry, Labour and Culture and Community Development). I retired after 45 years of Public Service in 2010 and worked on national projects on contract until 2017.

New grad Youness Robert-Tahiri explores how comedy can help kids cope with trauma
Youness Robert-Tahiri has never taken the conventional path — and it’s exactly that journey that’s shaped him into the advocate he is today.
Graduating this month as a member of U of T’s Woodsworth College with a major in psychology, Robert-Tahiri is determined to support children who have experienced adversity, helping them build resilience and coping skills using a perhaps unexpected tool: improv comedy.
