From the moment I entered Woodsworth College residence, I knew I was in the right place. It shaped me. Through my involvement in the residence council, I witnessed the power of collaboration and gained invaluable leadership skills that would shape my future work. But it was beyond the residence where Woodsworth transformed me. As I stepped into the role of representing the college at the University of Toronto Students' Union, I discovered my voice and the ability to advocate for meaningful change. It was here that I learned the significance of embracing diversity, fostering inclusivity, and amplifying the voices of my fellow students.

Woodsworth College became more than a place of learning; it became a haven of friendship, laughter, and personal growth. The memories I developed within this world are etched in stone, beautifully, in my heart. From late-night study sessions in the common rooms to forcing my friends to laugh quietly beyond quiet hours, every experience has contributed to the person I am today.

My own experience demonstrates that Woodsworth College is a testament to the transformative power of education, community, and diversity. It shows us that it can create a path for countless students seeking their place in the world. As we celebrate its 50th anniversary, it's an honour to think about the legacy of this college and the countless lives it has touched. To Woodsworth College, thank you for guiding me through the turbulent seas of self-discovery, for fostering lifelong friendships, and for instilling in me the courage to embrace the unknown.

Here's to 50 years of excellence, and to the countless journeys yet to be embarked upon within your hallowed halls.

After Graduation

Reflecting upon my journey at Woodsworth College to the commanding heights of the corporate world, I am humbled by my own journey. I was once that 18-year-old student with the fear of the unknown yet ambitious to take on the world. Today, as the President & CEO of Statement Strategies, a thriving PR firm, and the visionary force behind Statement Worldwide Corporation, I am reminded of the countless opportunities that my education has created for me.

A lot of my dreams were made at Woodsworth College. I had them. I didn't know how I'd get to where I am now. But I got here. Woodsworth instilled in me the resilience and tenacity needed to overcome adversity, and it was during those moments that my passion for connection, communication, and creativity was ignited. Having a degree from one of Canada's best schools, I knew I'd be prepared to venture into the global arena. Today, I represent clients in diverse countries such as the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Korea, China, the US, Singapore, and beyond.

Many of my clients and the projects I have worked on have been with brands like Corus Entertainment, The Walt Disney Studios, DreamWorks Animation, and Paramount Pictures, I have been fortunate to witness taking my creativity and business acumen to greater heights. Through Statement Worldwide Corporation, my media company has expanded to encompass interactive/video games, consumer products, film and television, and news and content divisions. This multifaceted approach allows me to shape narratives, captivate audiences, and leave an indelible mark on the cultural landscape.

As I navigate the ever-evolving global market, I am reminded of the foundation laid by Woodsworth College. Some of the best advice I've received were the most simple: be yourself. And I did just that. It is here that I learned to adapt, innovate, and embrace the unknown. Each client, each project, presents a new canvas on which I can paint stories that resonate with the masses. I've learned the power of boundless ideas.
