Use this list to identify the documents you must upload to your application to confirm your status in Canada. All documentation provided needs to be original and unexpired.
Canadian Citizen
- Passport
- We can also accept a temporary Canadian passport
- Birth certificate or long form birth certificate (latter of which will be accepted with a condition that one of the parents is a Canadian Citizen) AND one of the following:
- Passport
- Nexus Card
- Canadian Drivers License
- Canadian Provincial Photo Card
- Canadian Armed Forces Identification Card
- Department of Foreign Affairs International Trade Identity Card
- NOTE: We CANNOT accept a Notice of Birth Registration card or a Certificate of Live Birth
- Canadian Nexus Card
- Canadian Citizenship Card / Canadian Citizenship Certificate AND one of the following:
- Passport

Indigenous Person of Canada
- Certificate of Indian Status Card with photo Issued by DIAND/INAC/AANDC
- New Secure Certificate of Indian Status Card (SCIS)
Permanent Resident
- Permanent Resident Card
- Confirmation of Permanent Residence Document (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688) AND one of the following:
- Passport
- Nexus Card
- Canadian Drivers License
- Canadian Provincial Photo Card
- Canadian Armed Forces Identification Card
- Department of Foreign Affairs International Trade Identity Card
- Record of Landing AND one of the following:
- Passport
- Nexus Card
- Canadian Drivers License
- Canadian Provincial Photo Card

- Confirmation of Permanent Residence Letter AND one of the following:

Protected Persons or Convention Refugee
- Both of the following are required:
- Notice of Decision Issued by the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) OR Verification of Status
- Canadian Government Issued Photo ID OR Passport OR Single Journey Travel Document
- NOTE: To begin your studies upon successful admission, you will need to apply for and be approved for a study permit. As this process can take a significant amount of time, we recommend applying for the Academic Bridging Program as soon as possible to allow more time for your application to be processed. We also recommend applicants in this position consider applying for the Fall session instead of the Winter session, given the shorter amount of time between the application period and start of classes for the latter.
