A New Opportunity for Students

Students, TDSB & U of T staff at the official announcement of the program.
The program was officially announced on May 7th, 2019.

U of T News recently published an article highlighting the latest addition to Woodsworth College’s suite of access programs – the Support, Engage, Experience U of T (SEE U of T) program. SEE U of T was created in collaboration with U of T and the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) in an effort to bring more under-represented students to campus. The program will bring students from two TDSB high schools: Downsview Secondary School and Runnymede Collegiate Institute.

The first 30 students are expected to arrive in the fall, and will experience the life of an undergraduate student in the Woodsworth One program with the option to enroll in two courses: “Order and Disorder” and “Popular Culture Today”. U of T and Woodsworth College will provide the students with administrative support, library access, academic advising, and cover the cost of textbooks to ensure students are equipped with the support and resources they need to succeed.

New grad Youness Robert-Tahiri explores how comedy can help kids cope with trauma

June 19, 2025

Youness Robert-Tahiri has never taken the conventional path — and it’s exactly that journey that’s shaped him into the advocate he is today.

Graduating this month as a member of U of T’s Woodsworth College with a major in psychology, Robert-Tahiri is determined to support children who have experienced adversity, helping them build resilience and coping skills using a perhaps unexpected tool: improv comedy.
