About the Program

Kaye (Mentor) & Iris (Mentee)
"Having a mentor has made me more confident and ready for life after graduation."
-Iris (former mentee)

The Alumni-Students Mentorship Program serves 3rd and 4th year students at Woodsworth College and in its affiliate programs. Its purpose is to provide students with career exploration and professional development opportunities while still completing their undergraduate degree. The program welcomes students who are unsure of which path will be the best fit for them as well as those who already know which career they want to pursue.

Students are paired with alumni mentors according to career interests. The program has mentors from a variety of sectors, including law, finance, policing, non-profit, public relations, marketing, higher education, teaching, government, health care, and many more. Mentors share their experience, knowledge, and insights into the workforce and their specific careers. For mentors, the program provides an opportunity to give back to the Woodsworth College community, while developing leadership and mentoring skills.

2019-2020 Program Details:

The program runs from October 2019 to February 2020

Mentees and mentors are expected to meet three times during the program

Barry (Mentor) & Mohamed (Mentee)
