Introducing Erin Rud-Thompson the New Woodsworth College Alumni Association President

Erin Rud-Thompson (WDW14) has taken on a variety of roles since joining the board of the Woodsworth College Alumni Association. She has previously served as the board’s Secretary and Vice President and has been instrumental in arranging numerous successful and engaging events for alumni. In 2019 she was awarded the University of Toronto’s Arbor Award in recognition of her many efforts as a board member, as well as for serving as mentor in the College’s Alumni-Students Mentorship Program. After serving 5 years on the WCAA board, Rud-Thompson was elected President for the 2020-21 year. Acknowledging her appreciation of this new role, Rud-Thompson looks forward to working with the board and the broader alumni community:

“As we all know, 2020 is showing itself to be year full of distinct challenges, where we each have to learn to adapt our usual routines and lifestyles in different and sometimes creative ways. The WCAA board is no different ⎼ despite the unique challenges currently facing us all, we plan to continue to engage and support our alumni community and friends, even though those activities and engagement may look a bit different than the past.

I have no doubt that the board, and the greater Woodsworth community, will succeed in facing the obstacles in front of us with optimism and tenacity, and will adapt to succeed. I am confident we will get through this and end up as strong as ever.
