Convocation: Twin Sisters Graduate

Talia Williams and her twin sister Rachel Williams are recent graduates of Woodsworth College! The twin sisters were both undergraduate students together and went through the same program, the Academic Bridging Program!

Talia Williams shares some of her responses regarding her memories at Woodsworth College, her future plans, and accomplishments: 

1. What is a memory of your time at Woodsworth College that stands out for you?

"A memory that stands out during my time at Woodsworth would certainly be in the Academic Bridging Program. Not only did I make incredible connections with my professors, but I also learned vital things about university life and therefore felt confident and ahead of others when entering my undergraduate degree."

2. What accomplishments are you particularly proud of in your time as an undergraduate student?

"I am honestly just so proud of my entire undergraduate degree, my work ethic surprised me and my grades certainly surprised me as well. What I am most proud of though is that I found my passion through studying at UofT. Immediately upon taking my first intro courses, I completely fell in love with Art History and Classical Civilizations, and I am proud to say that I double majored in these incredible fields."

3. Do you have any plans for after you graduate?

"My plans for after I graduate are very exciting. I am continuing my academic journey by pursuing a graduate degree in London, England. I will be attending The Courtauld Institute of Art this coming fall, where I will carry on my studies of Italian Renaissance Art."

Rachel Williams shares some of her responses regarding her memories at Woodsworth College, her future plans, and accomplishments:

1. What is a memory of your time at Woodsworth College that stands out for you?

"Throughout my undergraduate degree, Woodsworth was always a safe haven. It was always dependable and a place I could go if I was ever lost or needed any form of guidance. I will never forget the incredible Faculty members that helped me choose courses, helped me write essays, and ultimately paved the way for me to easily find my passion."

2. What accomplishments are you particularly proud of in your time as an undergraduate student?

"What truly surprised me during my undergraduate degree was how incredibly determined I could be when it came to studying. Woodsworth prepared me in numerous ways to handle the workload and intensity of my degree, and I shocked myself each day at how much my degree became my dream and purpose."

3. Do you have any plans for after you graduate?

"After careful consideration, I have decided to continue my education at the University of Toronto to pursue a Masters's in Art History. I have no doubt that the University of Toronto will provide me with further years of incomparable experiences and an education that will push me to where I know I can be"
