Transfer Students

If you have completed courses at another accredited university, Canadian college, CEGEP or University of Toronto division, you may be able to apply to the Faculty of Arts & Science as a transfer student

What type of transfer applicant are you?

UTM, UTSC or the Daniels Faculty

If you are admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Science from UTM, UTSC or the Daniels Faculty, you do not have to apply or pay for a retained credit assessment. 

Other undergraduate divisions at U of T

If you are admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Science from an undergraduate division at U of T other than UTM, UTSC or the Daniels Faculty, you will need to apply for transfer credit. 

CEGEP

If you are admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Science from the CEGEP system, you will need to apply for transfer credit. 

Canadian College

If you are admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Science from an accredited college in Canada, you will need to apply for transfer credit. 

Canadian or International University

If you are admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Science and have previously completed courses at an accredited Canadian or International University, you will need to apply for transfer credit.

Secondary school transfer credits

If you are admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Science from one of the secondary school curricula listed below, you may be eligible to receive transfer credits for courses and exams taken through your secondary school as long as you meet the minimum required score and the courses and exams have been completed before the September of your first year in the Faculty of Arts & Science.   • Advanced Placement (AP) 

  • Cambridge Pre-University Diploma 

  • Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) 

  • French Baccalaureate Program 

  • General Certificate of Education (GCE), Advanced Level 

  • International Baccalaureate (IB), Higher Level 

  • Singapore-Cambridge GCE, Advanced Level  

College transfer requests

  • If you are currently a member of another Faculty of Arts & Science college and wish to be considered for a transfer to Woodsworth College, please email wdwregistrar@utoronto.ca explaining your reasons for wanting to transfer. 

  • We have a very limited number of spaces available and typically accept only 3-5 students as college transfers each year. We will only consider students with a competitive CGPA. Students who have completed more than 5.0 credits at the University of Toronto are not eligible for consideration. 

  • The application deadline for each Fall/Winter academic year is June 1. We will not consider requests received after the deadline.
