Margaret Baker, CHRL
Margaret Baker is the Manager of People Operations & Strategy at MZLA Technologies, the organization behind Thunderbird, a free and open-source email client, in addition to a growing suite of independent productivity tools. With over 12 years of experience in people operations, HR strategy, and organizational development, she helps build inclusive, feedback-driven cultures that support globally distributed teams.
Margaret is passionate about shaping environments where transparency, candor, and well-being are central to how people work and lead. She brings a strategic mindset and strong emotional intelligence to scaling teams in ways that are both human and effective.
She holds a CHRL designation, a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, and a BA in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto.
Outside of work, Margaret enjoys running, hiking with her family, interior design, and general wellness.
