Woodsworth College Alumni Association Board of Directors 2024-2025
Maina Rambali is a finance and accounting professional for publicly traded mining companies. Most recently, Maina held positions as Treasurer and Controller at Harte Gold Corporation. Previously she held similar roles at Global Atomic Corporation and various mining corporations. Maina has extensive experience in treasury management, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Maina graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Finance and Economics specialist degree from Woodsworth College, University of Toronto. As a proud alumna, Maina is actively engaged as a mentor in the Hart House and Woodsworth Mentorship programs. She has served on the board of Woodsworth College Alumni Association since 2021. Maina also serves as Treasurer on the board of Youth Assisting Youth, a charitable organization, and a Toronto Standard Condominium Corporation.
Colleen Leung graduated from Woodsworth College in 2005, studying Economics and Canadian Studies. Colleen is an 20 year financial services industry professional with experience in corporate events, project management, segmentation and client experience. She also has a Certificate in Project Management from the School of Continuing Studies and her PMP designation.
Michael Gibson is currently an Associate Director - Enterprise Architect with Capgemini, defining architectures in data centre tooling, networking and cybersecurity. He has led global teams in deploying these architectures.
He graduated in 1986 from the University of Toronto (Woodsworth College) with a BSc in Computer Science.
He remains connected to the University as a volunteer mentor with Woodsworth College and the Department of Computer Science, as well as being an avid supporter of the Varsity Blues.
His interests and passions include travel, history and culture, attending movies at TIFF, games with the Argos, TFC and Raptors.
Goals within the WCAA are to build and foster a stronger alumni community.
Jesse Grimstead (WDW 2010) has been a U of T Alumni Volunteer since 2018 and has worked in the Telecom/Technology industry since 2010. He began his career at Bell, where he held leadership roles in Field Operations, Wireless Networks, and Enterprise Services. Since early 2023, he has been working in Services Consulting for Tata Communications. He also holds an MBA from Queen’s University and in his spare time enjoys travelling, cycling, and skiing.
Nathalie Sehgal graduated from Woodsworth College in 2013 with an Honours B.A. She was an active member of the Woodsworth College community from 2009 to 2013, including Promotions Manager of the Woodsworth College Student Association, Resident Director of Woodsworth College and co-founder of the Woodsworth Movie Club. After graduation, she followed footsteps in her family’s business manufacturing specialized garments for the military in India & Canada. Currently, she is working in Public Relations specializing in lifestyle and corporate brands. During her downtime, she loves to try the latest restaurants in the city and travel. Nathalie is honoured to be a part of the Board of Directors and is looking forward to growing the community and raising awareness.
Sofiya Datsyuk is a corporate governance professional, supporting strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance. Previously, she worked at an entrepreneurial boutique securities law firm for over eight years in management and project support. She obtained her BA (Hons) from the University of Toronto in 2015.
Sofiya is Past President of the Woodsworth College Alumni Association, previously serving as President (2022-2024), Vice President (2020-2022) and Secretary (2018-2020). Sofiya is a recipient of a 2021 Arbor Award from the University of Toronto and is a member of the College of Electors.
Jenny graduated from Woodsworth College, University of Toronto, in 2021 with a finance degree from Rotman Commerce. She then completed a Juris Doctor degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. She has since begun her legal career in the public sector by articling at the Ministry of the Attorney General. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, spending time in nature, meditating and cooking. She is excited about devoting more of her time to giving back to the community at large.
John Paulo Cardoso is a recognized author and Professor at George Brown College, renowned for his unconventional approach to teaching contemporary marketing. A proud 1996 alumnus of the University of Toronto’s Woodsworth College, he has flourished in leadership roles, including as CEO of Golden Neighbour Inc. and Chief Creative Officer at Spyder Works Inc. Embracing Universal Design for Learning, John applies innovative strategies to enhance both educational and business environments, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing community and innovation.
Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, Nida moved to Canada in 2006 to pursue her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, where she completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts with double majors in economics and employment relations. During her time at U of T, she actively participated in groups like AIESEC and Woodsworth College residence activities. After graduating in 2010, Nida embarked on a successful career in Aerospace manufacturing, spending 10 years at Bombardier Aerospace before joining Collins Aerospace, where she currently serves as Director of Quality for her business unit. She recently completed her Executive MBA from Ivey Business School and is passionate about women’s development and social impact projects, volunteering with various institutions. Outside of work and school, Nida enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her two little nieces.
Dylan Forgas (WDW Alum '18) works at Canadian Tire Corp., leading the development and delivery of AI and emerging technology products. Previously, he drove enterprise customer data initiatives and served as a subject matter expert for IBM Match360. Dylan holds a Master of Management Analytics from Queen’s University and is bilingual in English and French. He is passionate about innovation, design thinking, and supporting the Woodsworth alumni community. Outside of work, he is exploring the best croissants in the city, hiking, and reading by the waterfront.
Martin, a Research and Policy Analyst, has served in various roles within the provincial public service and now focuses on policies that remove internal barriers to workforce mobility in Canada at the Ministry of Labour. Enthusiastic about both international and domestic politics, JM developed a strong interest in government policy and its societal impact while studying at Woodsworth College. He earned his HBA in Political Science in 2023, and his dedication to public service drives his commitment to developing policies that enhance economic outcomes and opportunities across Canada.
My name is Alexander Kritikopoulos. I graduated with a BA from Woodsworth in 2015, and an MA at Munk and the Centre for European and Eurasian studies in 2018. After a short stint with Transportation Services at the University of Toronto, I began my career with the Federal Government, working at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. I enjoy a good book on a niche topic, or sharing my language learning struggles with others.
Monica graduated from Woodsworth College, University of Toronto in 2024 with a degree in Commerce. Since then, she has embarked on her career journey at one of the leading consulting firms, where she has honed her expertise across diverse industries and functions. Beyond her professional pursuits, Monica is a passionate advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, offering mentorship to newcomers to Canada and orchestrating volunteer initiatives within the local community.
Mohiba, a seasoned Learning & Development leader, specializes in transforming and redesigning the strategic structure of Learning and Development management systems for clients. she guides organizations to effectively navigate the complexities of their landscape. She holds a Masters degree in MIRHR and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Toronto. Beyond her professional achievements, Mohiba is passionately involved in community engagement and youth empowerment, actively participating in various communities. She eagerly anticipates applying her skills and knowledge as a member of the Board of Directors for the Woodsworth College Alumni Association (WICAA). Her goal is to contribute to the support and growth of the community, reflecting her dedication to making a positive impact.
Yasmine Nasereddin graduated from Woodsworth College in 2022 with an Honours BA in international relations and history. She is currently an articling student at EY Law LLP in the Tax Policy and Controversy group, following her graduation from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2025. Yasmine enjoys exploring art, visiting museums, and taking long walks through the city.
Andrea graduated from Woodsworth College in June 2021 with a degree in Political Science. During her time at university, she founded and was the former President of the Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) in Politics Network, which focuses on providing mentoring opportunities and advocating for students who are interested in politics and policy. Immediately after graduating, she was hired by the City of Toronto in Employment and Social Services. Over the course of her time there, Andrea held various positions related to equity, diversity and inclusion, communications, operations and IT. She currently works for the Ministry of Transportation as a Senior Policy Advisor. Outside of work she is the Director of External Relations for the University of Toronto Black Alumni Association. She is also a Black Belt, a former classically trained pianist and certifiable foodie.
Dr. Prowse is a graduate of the University of Toronto and The Johns Hopkins University. He is a practicing surgeon in Northwestern Ontario and his academic interests include medical education and surgical oncology.
Formerly serving as the Assistant Dean Admissions at NOSM University, Dr. Prowse facilitated significant transformations in the MD Admissions process. His work nationally has helped to inform equitable and socially accountable admissions practices into the health professions. He is currently VP, Clinical Partnerships and Hospital Relations for NOSM University.
Dr. Prowse is a proud husband to his wife Azra (UofT Med 1993) and their four sons.
Jason graduated from Woodsworth College in 2009 with a B.Sc. in Genetics and Biotechnology, followed by a B.Ed. from York University in 2011 and an M.Ed. from OISE in 2021. Formerly a high school science teacher and Principal, he now focuses on developing emerging leaders as the Director of Education at a private medical career college. Jason also serves on the York University Faculty of Education Alumni Network, finding joy in fostering connections and growth.
