Convocation Day at Woodsworth College
June 12, 2019 marked an important milestone for nearly 900 Woodsworth College students as they officially became some of U of T’s newest alumni.
Convocation Ceremonies
Woodsworth College held two convocation ceremonies, with Arts students graduating in the morning, and Science & Commerce students graduating in the afternoon. The College was honoured to have Ms Lynda Hamilton and Minister Kirsty Duncan address the graduates, sharing meaningful and heartfelt messages with them. Following the ceremonies, many students opted for photos with family and friends in the beautiful King’s College Circle, with University College and the CN Tower as their backdrop.
Reception
With weather co-operating, the College held its reception in the Peter F. Bronfman Courtyard. Family, friends, staff, and faculty gathered to celebrate and congratulate the new graduates on their hard work and accomplishments. Speeches were made by Principal Joe Desloges, Assistant Principal & Registrar Cheryl Shook, WCSA President Simran Sawhney, and WCAA President Harlan Tufford.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Woodsworth College's newest alumni, and thank you to everyone who supported them throughout their academic careers. Please keep in touch as we look forward to hearing about your journey, and we are excited to see how your future unfolds. To quote Minister Duncan, “Now it’s your time to shine, and we can’t wait to watch you soar.”
