Welcome

Welcome to Woodsworth College Residence, located at the corner of St George Street and Bloor.

Woodsworth College is honoured to have its first residence at the key intersection of Bloor Street and St. George Street, the northern gateway to the historic St. George Campus. The Woodsworth College Residence strives to provide our students an exceptional residence experience in a modern building.

Our students live in an air-conditioned suite-style residence with private single bedrooms. Each suite houses four to six residents, with two bathrooms, a shared kitchen and living area. There are laundry facilities on the ground floor, a front desk reception that is staffed 24-hours a day , high-speed internet access, common areas, and plus a Residence Life Program that offers social events, student government, educational programming and counseling – all included in a residence that’s just steps away from libraries, lecture halls and athletic facilities.

History

Woodsworth College is proud to have built its first undergraduate residence at the Northern Gateway to the St. George Campus of the University of Toronto. The residence building was designed by the award winning architectural firm Architects Alliance. The construction was done by Aecon and was completed in early 2004.

Before the 17th floor building was constructed, 321 Bloor Street was occupied by the St. George Apartments for graduate students. The U-shaped building was built in 1926.  In 2000, a new residence was built for graduate students on Harbord and Spadina St.
