Woodsworth College has two new learning strategists!

We would like to welcome Rashelle Litchmore and Tanya Hyland as our new learning strategists!

Rashelle Litchmore held a prior position with University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, where she was a Learning Skills Advisor for First Generation students through the Department of Student Life. She also has many years of experience working with programs that assist students systemically directed away from university to consider it as an option. This includes the Imani Mentorship Program that she established as an undergraduate at UTSC. Along with working here, she is currently completing her PhD in Applied Social Psychology at the University of Guelph. Her research is on the experiences of Black high school students in Toronto under Ontario’s current inclusive education policies.

Tanya Hyland was previously at Accessibility Services (UoFT) where she was a Disability Counsellor for 13 years, with expertise in working with students with coplex mental health issues, visual disabilities and chronic health issues. She has been a frequent presenter at local and national conferences on issues related to disability and academic accommodation, transitions to post-secondary as well as collaborations with campus partners, such as residences and Student Health and Wellness.
