  - First black  woman to be elected to the House of Commons

Patricia Croft (WDW 90)
Trends Expert, Economist and Media Commentator

  - Youngest woman to serve as Cheif Economist at a major Canadian financial institution
  - Served as Chief Economist at Canada Trust, Sceptre Investment Counsel and Royal Bank
    of Canada Global Assets
  - Has given expert opinion on Canadian financial markets through television appearances
    on Global Television, CBC News - The National and BBC

 


 

Amanda Dale (WDW 88)
Leader in Toronto's feminist movement for three decades.

- Named YMCA Woman of Distinction in 2013
- Made important contributions to organizations such as Quimaavik Shelter (Nunavut), Sistering, Opportunity for Advancement, Nellie's Hostel, St. Joseph's Women Health Centre and YMCA Toronto
- Active board member of Inter Pares, a global feminist social justice organization, and the Woman Abuse Council of Toronto
- Executive director of the Barbara Schlifer Clinic, Canada's only legal, counseling, and language interpretation clinical
